Have you viewed the new PokerPro texas hold em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about three weeks ago when I took a brief getaway with my parents to the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.

As I anxiously waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I watched how the other men and women around the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was quite intriguing to say the least. Since the poker table was computer controlled, there had been no poker chips to do any chip tips, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stale. Perhaps I was the only one that recognized this, except I did observe the players in the table had a dull quality to them. The reason behind this may be since there was no human discussion with the croupier, the ambiance was relatively dull and the gamblers looked bored. It was almost as if I was viewing a live variation of a web-based hold’em poker room instead of being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a little bit creepy and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of Star trek and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables for more than an hour, I made a decision to observe how the casino game play was and to encounter this new texas hold’em poker gaming technologies. Following betting a couple of hands, I definitely felt like I was playing at home. The lack of activity at the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle and stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are possible at these computer tables.

Another thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a great deal of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a good deal like an internet based holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, except I found it to be very odd.

Following wagering a few rounds with this "new holdem poker technology", I made a decision that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m far better off wagering texas hold’em poker on the web at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling establishment were to receive rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a good deal of players.
