Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player on the globe by many of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before his first birthday. His grandfather taught him one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was hooked on poker and wished to learn everything he could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his elders that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil didn’t let the adverse feedback from other people annihilate his dream of becoming one of the greatest poker competitors in the world.

Phil began competing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He honed his game at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for him were a learning opportunity and winning wasn’t a normal outcome at the time.
